New YouDiagnose crowdfunding campaign tackles NHS cancer diagnosis backlogs caused by the Covid-19 pandemic

LONDON, UK. – Tuesday July 28th, 2020 – YouDiagnose, a leader in AI-powered cancer diagnosis, today announced the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to raise £1 million to deliver a pilot of the YouDiagnose solution within the cancer services department of a nominated National Health Service (NHS)Trust.

Cancer misdiagnosis alone costs the NHS £150M per annum and burdens patients their families and society with many other hidden costs. This situation has been exacerbated by the delay and disruption to NHS cancer services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Reports for the UK estimate that this could result in at least 20% more deaths (over 31,000 people) over the next 12 months in people who have been newly diagnosed with cancer.
