Synergy Personnel Take on Alex’s Wish as Charity of the Year

Synergy Personnel Services, an East Midlands-based specialist recruitment company, have taken on Leicestershire-based charity Alex’s Wish as their Charity of the Year.

Emma Hallam, Founder and CEO of Alex’s Wish, spoke of the news saying, “I’ve known Gavin Dilkes, their Managing Director, for many years now as we network together at BNI Premier.  Gavin has always been a huge supporter of Alex’s Wish and I was absolutely delighted when he let me know that Alex’s Wish had been chosen as their Charity of the Year.

“They have already got their first fundraiser planned which is the Lykewake Walk, a 42 mile walk done over a 24-hour period and taking in the highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales.  They’re also busy organising a charity Sports Day plus lots of other events over the next 12 months.  Companies like Synergy Personnel Services who take us on as their Charity of the Year make such a huge difference to us, our fundraising target and, therefore, the projects we can commit to and support in our quest to find treatments and, ultimately, a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.  I’m incredibly grateful to the whole team at Synergy for their support and wish them well with the Lykewake Walk!”

Speaking on selection Alex’s Wish as their charity of the year, Tom Westbury, Principle Consultant at Synergy Personnel Services said, “We wanted to support Alex’s Wish as through BNI we’ve been able to see Emma talk about Alex and the charity and it really inspired us.  We know how close the charity is to finding a cure and if we could be part of this it would be awesome.”
