SMB College Group Beauty Student Places 3rd in the World at Allstar World Championship!
SMB College Group Beauty Student, Olivia Ison, places third in the world at the Allstar World Championship in Orlando!
The Allstar World Championship is a large end-of-season cheerleading competition for mini, youth, junior, senior, and international teams, competing with the best of the best.
Olivia took part with her team, Premier Stars, a co-ed level 5 team, they trained for several months to compete in the Championships.
The competition took place in April where they competed in the semi-finals, got through to the final and placed 3rd in the world!
Claire Stocker, Beauty Lecturer at SMB College Group, said “It was a great opportunity and achievement for Olivia, she has competed in several competitions including coming within the top 10 in World Skills last academic year.
Taking part in competitions grows confidence, this is 100% the case with Olivia, she is a confident young lady that has secured a job at Ragdale Hall and runs her own business. We are all very proud of Olivia and her achievements. Olivia is now back in college and working hard despite being jet lagged.”
Beauty Therapy is taught at SMB College Group’s Brooksby and Stephenson Campuses with industry-standard salon facilities and equipment. Students get to work in real salon environments with real-life clients and challenges, as well as having the opportunity to enter competitions, work with partners at Ragdale Hall Spa, and go on trips to learn more about the growing industry.
