Mosaic Charity Calls in Commercial A-team to Shape Bold New Direction
Three Leicestershire businesses are joining forces to form an innovative new advisory service for local disability charity Mosaic 1898.
Alison Fletcher of APM Human Resources (HR consultancy), Andy Viner of Meridian Digital Solutions, and Mark Robinson of creative agency Creative62 are working closely with the charity to help steer it in a bold new direction. The partnership sees a step change from more conventional trustee roles – instead pooling their professional expertise to provide impartial commercial advice.
Mosaic has been supporting disabled people, their families and carers, for more than 120 years and is well respected as one of Leicester’s oldest charities. Today it helps over 1,000 people every week in Leicestershire, promoting inclusion, equality, choice, empowerment and dignity to children and adults with a range of disabilities. It offers activities such as sailing, music, drama and social groups along with accessible holiday accommodation on the North Norfolk coast.
Drafting in its commercial A-team is the latest move to focus the charity on creating a service fit for future generations, with vibrant new branding, the latest technology, and a dedicated workforce at its core. The team of experts is united in its aim to help the charity reach a wider audience and lead them into a bright future.
Mark, who lives in Leicester, jumped at the chance to get involved. He says:
“It felt like the perfect time and opportunity to give something back to the community.
The enthusiasm that everyone at Mosaic brings to the table is infectious and I love that. I’ve been involved with many sectors over the years and, along with my design and marketing experience, I’ll be able to assist with branding and promotion to make sure that as many people as possible hear about the brilliant work they do.”
Andy, who will focus on bringing the charity’s IT infrastructure bang up to date, adds:
“We’ll be offering the same level of professionalism and innovation as we would any of our large commercial clients. There’s no reason why Mosaic shouldn’t benefit from the latest technology and IT”
Alison too is excited about Mosaic’s potential to grow and sees a great future for the charity. She adds:
“Mosaic is a well run charity with a fantastic heritage. It’s my aim to help them get the most out of their people so they can grow even further.”
Zoheb Shariff, Mosaic’s CEO says:
“We’re delighted to welcome Alison , Andy and Mark as strategic advisors, and we’re confident that the wealth of commercial experience they bring will help Mosaic become even better prepared for the future.
We have a clear ambition to make sure we’re reaching as many relevant people as possible, as well as developing our fundraising, ambassador and support programmes. I feel that their input will support both our people, and our mission.
They clearly share our passion and commitment to giving children and adults with disabilities access to the same choices and opportunities as others. We look forward to some busy and exciting times ahead.”
