Loreta’s new role is just the job as recruitment firm enjoys 50 percent growth
A RECRUITMENT specialist who has helped to fill hundreds of roles for the UK’s leading health and beauty retailer says she is looking forward to forming more personal client relationships after switching roles.
Such was the skillset of Loreta Juranecaite, Derby-headquartered Sky Recruitment Solutions created a role especially for her.
Her appointment as client and candidate relations manager comes at the ideal time, as the company is celebrating 50 percent growth within a year.
Staff have also been working hard to cope with the UK worker shortage, as official figures show a million people moved jobs in the three months to September, and vacancies are at a record high of almost 1.3 million.
Loreta spent seven-and-a-half-years helping to find staff for Boots in her previous roles as branch administrator and then senior account co-ordinator for the agencies that sourced workers for the pharmaceutical giant. At one point, she was involved in a 1,200-worker recruitment drive for the household name.
She will split her time between Sky’s Derby office and its East Midlands Distribution Centre base, facilitating a link between job-seekers and companies across the East Midlands.
Loreta, who worked in warehouses before moving into the recruitment sector, said: “I had an interview with David Torrington, managing director, and Beckie Elliott, regional business manager, a few months ago.
“The general Sky culture attracted me to want to work for the company – the aims that people have here, and they are so close and helpful to each other.
“They all have the same goal and everyone works as one big team.
“In joining them, it’s something really different to other agencies I’ve worked for. There are real opportunities for progression.”
Loreta, 29, who lives in Ashbourne, described what she likes about her role.
“I find working with people really interesting,” she said.
“I get to see their progression in their career – seeing someone become bigger and better in themselves and their job role is very exciting.
“One client I previously worked with started as a picker-packer and progressed to site manager within five years.”
She said what she is looking forward to most is “meeting all the clients and the new challenge of working more personally with smaller accounts”.
Beckie Elliott, Sky Recruitment Solutions’ regional business manager, explained how Loreta’s expertise was the perfect fit for the company.
She said: “Loreta has a heavily recruitment-based background after working for multiple agencies across the district.
“She knows the industry, the demands and the client requirements. Therefore, it was a no-brainer offering her the role of candidate and client relations manager working between the Derby office and EMDC on-site.
“We weren’t actually recruiting for this position, but after speaking to Loreta, we created the role that suited her skillset best.
“She was looking for the next step in her career and we are delighted to be able to offer this to her.
“It’s the best time to join the business at the moment as we are growing rapidly. We have over 50 percent growth in a year and we are over the moon to have Loreta on board with us and to be a part of the journey.”
Sky Recruitment Solutions’ managing director, David Torrington, added: “The recruitment of Loreta is a significant step for the business – as we grow, and expand across the East Midlands and Yorkshire, our reputation means that we are attracting a higher calibre of recruiter, which is great news for the business.”
Sky Recruitment Solutions, which has branches in Derby, Castle Donington, Mansfield, Ripley, Burton-on-Trent and Huddersfield, recruits for industrial roles at all levels.
