Foremost Security have the East Midlands locked down after Cerberus takeover
If you’re a business owner in the East Midlands, it’s about to become a lot easier to choose your security provider. This is due to Foremost Security, an already major provider of security guarding and industrial security services, completing a smooth takeover of Nottingham based security firm, Cerberus Facilities Management.
The owner of Cerberus approached the Director of Foremost back in July, explaining that they wanted to leave the industry, and after a couple of meetings in which discussions about which sites Foremost would take over took place, negotiations were made. It’s with great satisfaction for them to say they have secured 80% of Cerberus’ clients, resulting in Foremost Security being a leading security company in the East Midlands
This takeover will see the market share develop across Nottingham, with a mixture of their services, including: Manned Guarding, Mobile Patrols, Lock/Unlock, Keyholding and Alarm Response. However, an immediate difference they have seen lies with the Manned Guarding which has increased to a consistent 4000 hours provided each week, which is an approximate 400hr increase. This has allowed them to develop their Mobile Patrol fleet to 8 vans which will benefit the response time to clients – which is already at an impressive average of 22 minutes!
By merging a premier independent security provider with an ambitious company like Foremost, it means an obvious increase in turnover and profits, but also the chance to become one of the largest independent security companies in the Midlands. Since the takeover in July, Foremost has seen significant growth in their client base and have secured work with Jeld Wen – Melton Mowbray, Cold Harbour Marine, Enva Waste Management, Lowdham Leisure World, Bunches, J McCann, Plastique, Sat Bains and Pro-log Fulfilment, just to name a few.
Ben Spencer, who was the Director of Operations at Cerberus Facilities Management has said: “As a security solutions provider with over 20 years’ experience, we’re absolutely delighted to trust and hand over to Foremost. We know they’re always thinking of their clients’ futures and those who were previously with us, will be in very safe hands.”
Building relationships is just one key aspect of Foremost’s success. They have also showed their innovative side previously, when in 2018 they launched an app that allows mobile patrols to efficiently record and report any suspicious activity taking place at a client’s premises.
Matt Prince, the Sales and Marketing Director at Foremost Security has said: “The takeover was very smooth and really without any issues or concerns. We’re really pleased with how quickly we were able to move things forward. We are working with some very big national and international customers and have had some very interesting conversations about the working relationship moving forward with the potential of additional security work starting on the back of what we now provide.
When asked what the best moment for him has been, he explained:” I love meeting new customers and getting to know them whilst visiting the new sites. It’s also been great to inherit some fantastic security officers through TUPE, they’ve all been a huge benefit in the handover and their individual site knowledge has been invaluable.”
