KuKu Connect member Andrew Deighton Publishes New Book
KuKu Connect member Andrew Deighton, the owner of AWD Development Solutions Ltd. is delighted to announce the publication of his new book.
The Exceptional Team Blueprint™’ is a practical approach to building high performing teams and developing exceptional team members and leaders. We sat down with Andrew who told us all about how the book can help you.
“I’m fortunate to have been a part of some great teams, as both a team member and a leader. I also worked for some inspirational team bosses during my 26-year career at Rolls-Royce, before I started my business in 2014. The Exceptional Team Blueprint is built up of aspects that I’ve found to be particularly important. I developed these from my personal experiences and my professional knowledge. Above all, I wanted to create a framework that’s pragmatic and easy to apply and adapt to a variety of organisations and circumstances”.
“The Exceptional Team Blueprint can be deployed in businesses, education establishments, charities, public sector organisations, and in the voluntary sector, to bring positive results and improved performance. It can be used across a wide range of situations such as new project teams, existing intact teams, dysfunctional teams, startups, growing businesses and with all levels in an organisation. You can also apply the elements from the Blueprint to teams you’re involved with in your hobbies and interests”.
“The book describes the elements of the Exceptional Team Blueprint in detail and also covers some wider aspects around teams. It takes you through a series of explanations, practical activities, processes and steps. I’ve included some implementation ideas and suggestions, and tools and techniques to help you take action”.
“You don’t need to be in a leadership position to positively impact the performance of a team. You can influence how the team works and performs, and the outcomes it delivers, as a member of that team. Apply the elements of the Blueprint at a personal level to become more effective, and influence your fellow team members to do the same”.
“I’d like to thank the members of the Derby business community who gave their time to answer my request for input and views on high performing teams and leaders. They’ve helped me to validate the Exceptional Team Blueprint and make it real.
To help organisations implement the approach, Andrew delivers workshops and masterclasses, consultancy support, facilitation, coaching and talks based on the Exceptional Team Blueprint principles.
