ACT has been embracing lockdown.
ACT has been embracing lockdown. We switched our monthly What’sOnLocal podcasts and Facebook LIVE streaming to What’sOnDigital with great success and audience growth.
Our show guests have included best selling Tudor biographer, novelist, broadcaster and commentator on royal affairs, Sarah Gristwood (March); Beestonian and Inspirational Director of Donne & Associates, Justin Donne with storyteller Robin Hood Adam Greenwood, of the Robin Hood Experience (April); visual artist, author, journalist and The Ghost Bus short films producer, Roberto Alborghetti, LIVE from Bergamo, with our own Beeston Jazz Angel, Jeanie Barton singing out her Lockdown Lift lyrics to the melody of Glen Miller’s ‘In the Mood’ (May).
ACT team Inna Schutts and Dawn Lindson have been updating all on the best global digital resources covering art, culture and tourism and their reports on Home Teaching. Marcus Gilmore, graphic artist and illustrator, has been reporting on “Crafting in a Crisis”. All these ACT events have been masterly produced by Caron Lyon of PCM creative. All links can be watched and heard anytime via https://www.facebook.com/artculturetourism/, our website Home page and Podcasts section. Our next 30 minute What’sOnDigital show is scheduled for Tuesday 30th June so please register your interest.
Our e-book of 25 “Creatives Lockdown 2020” comments of April, from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire plus one each from USA & Netherlands, is published this month via our website.
I’ve been busy writing, blogging, publishing, tending to my garden and surprisingly become a BBC Radio Star! My ‘Letter from Beeston’ recordings for Radio Nottingham and the rest can be heard and read on our Blog. Roberto’s RadioVision production of his ‘Adventures in the Land of Robin Hood’ (with my Letter from Beeston) can be experienced here
So all in all, an ACTive time during lockdown. We now look forward to Lifting Lockdown. For more information https://www.artculturetourism.co.uk/
