Paul Stephenson raises money for Leicester mental health charity LAMP

Paul Stephenson, a Leasing Specialist from Vehicle Consulting East Midlands, and new member of KuKu Connect is a long-standing supporter of Leicester mental health charity LAMP.

Throughout the month of May, 2024, he has pledged to walk 10K every day in various locations around Leicester, to raise money for the charity, who provide free mental health advocacy to adults across the Leicestershire and Rutland area.

Paul has set himself the admirable challenge of raising £1,000, walking 300K in total. He is confident in his goal so far, having already raised £300, and is even hopeful that with the support of others, he will surpass his goal.

He has been a supporter of LAMP for a number of years, fundraising through various challenges and attending LAMP events.

He says, “I support LAMP as a mental health charity as my mother suffered with mental health for as long as I can remember until her death.

“Since lockdown, I have had two very good friends take their lives, no one knew their state of mind.”

The funds that Paul raises will go towards the essential work of LAMP’s community advocates, who support those suffering with mental health through the complexities of the healthcare system, enabling them to receive the help and care that is needed.
