Community Action Derby is the umbrella organisation for Derby’s voluntary sector and the main provider of support for local voluntary and community groups in the city. We are part of the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA) and have over 200 member organisations.

Community Action exists to enhance life in Derby through voluntary action by:

• Encouraging, supporting and developing individuals, groups and organisations involved in charity action,
• Promoting new initiatives that tackle social exclusion and economic disadvantage
• Establishing partnerships between the public, private and voluntary sectors.
