KuKu’s 8th Annual Birthday Reception a Sparkling Success

Thank you to Whatton House and Wonderland Venues for hosting the KuKu Connect Annual Birthday Reception and the 200+ businesses who came to celebrate with us from across the Midlands.

We celebrated our 8th birthday in style, with a grand welcome from stilt walkers, courtesy of Fancy Entertainment. Guests were then invited into the private home of The Hon. Mrs. Amanda Eastwood, where they enjoyed champagne provided by Weavers, all while being serenaded by a wonderful harpist.

Delicious Spanish canapés from The Uplift Grazing were served outdoors around the fire, beneath a magnificent heated stretch tent from Pro-Aktiv.

After a short stroll through the gardens—beautifully illuminated by festoon lighting from Scorpion Production Group—guests arrived at Wonderland Venues’ permanent tipi, greeted by the glorious tones of our singer, Becky, and cocktails provided by Shake the Spirit.

Later in the evening, guests enjoyed delicious street food from Bespoke Inns and The Pantry, cakes and brownies from Cass Bakes, mushroom-paired coffee from Ultra Institute, and spirits from Spirit of Trent.

The Luxe 360 Booths wowed everyone with their incredible Vogue Booth, adding a touch of pizazz to the evening. After a speech from His Majesty’s Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire, Colonel Colville, TD, DL, a gleaming 0.6 oval-cut blue sapphire was won in our charity prize draw, raising funds for locally impacted charities.

The evening concluded with a sparkling toast, featuring fizz provided by our friends at The Hilton.

Huge thanks to Nathan O’Brien Photography for beautifully capturing the evening with the photos below, and to Memory Box Media for their stunning video memento of the night
