BOOTS MADE FOR BUSINESS
KuKu Connect members and guests were left stuffed after a gourmet evening of business networking at the Boot Room Restaurant & Venue on Millstone Lane.
In an old boot makers building, the Boot Room modestly stands proud to its heritage and its modern take on serving traditional English cuisine by using the best ingredients cooked fresh which was the scene for KuKu Connect’s March Connect Reception attended by over 85 businesses from across the county and wider region.
The venue showcased its culinary talents to great effect with artisan precision offering members and guests a delicious selection of hot and cold canapés including a moreish KuKu canapé created especially; seared pheasant, wild mushroom compote and black pudding crumb. The black pudding being from one of the best UK suppliers around who have been making their black pudding for generations from a secret recipe. Flutes and mocktails floated around including a rather saucy ‘safe sex on the beach’ mocktail, which titillated even the non-drinker.

It was a great opportunity for us to show lots of new business people the Boot Room as both a restaurant and a venue. In attendance at the Connect Reception and supporting the local business community was Professor Surinder Sharma, High Sheriff of Leicestershire. As Her Majesty’s Legal Representative in the county, the High Sheriff supports a wide range of organisations which represent the life of the county.
